H2Flow selected for tailings pond nitrification wastewater treatment by gold producer

H2Flow Equipment Inc. has been awarded a contract by leading gold mining producer to supply a new nitrification wastewater treatment system of a tailings storage pond for a gold mine in British Columbia.

With a treatment capacity of 5,400 m3/day, the scope of this project is valued at several million dollars and consists of a complete treatment package. It is based on H2Flow’s Moving Bed Bioreactor (MBBR) technology (https://h2flow.com/media/downloads/H2FLOW_MBBR_Brochure.pdf) for the aerobic treatment of wastewater, with high reduction efficiency of nitrogen compounds and organic matter. The treatment occurs within H2Flow’s bolted steel field erected tanks (www.h2flowtanks.com), supplied and installed by H2flow.

The combination of MBBR and GFS tanks is referred to as H2Flow’s Field Erected (FER) treatment plants (https://h2flowtanks.com/media/downloads/H2Flow_FER_WWTPs_Brochure.pdf).

Michael Albanese, President, said: “H2Flow is very proud to have been able to provide a custom FER treatment solution based on our products and services.
This project is a great example of how H2Flow’s engineering, sales and service teams can help companies achieve their water treatment goals.”
